About Pastimes Collectables

Chris & Sue Ginnaw

I have always loved collecting, sorting & displaying things. Since a child I have made collections and Pastimes Collectables started because of this passion in 1998, sourcing small collectable, vintage, old or antique items for display or use. I do not specialise in anything in particular but am drawn towards the decorative, unusual or downright quirky! With a background in Textile & Printed Surface Design, I have always loved making my home very individual, by filling it with an eclectic mix of objects throughout the ages.

Many of my customers comment on how my stock reminds them of their childhood or times past. My customers are worldwide and include the general public & collectors & dealers buying stock, from Europe, America, China, Japan, South Korea & even as far as Australia. I describe myself as a Dealer’s Dealer & have many returning customers. I have sold to TV Companies including the BBC, Disney & Channel 4, also Opera & Stage Production Companies who use my stock for props.

I am always on the lookout for new interesting stock, whether it be at Antique Fairs, Flea Markets & Auctions at home or abroad. I can never have a day out or a holiday without looking for places to find my next treasures! “

PASTIMES BUNTING

I have sold in several Antique Centres throughout Sussex in the past 20 years including,Petworth, Arundel, Chichester & Lewes. But now am only selling with the help of my husband Chris, at large Antique fairs in the South of England & online.

Myself & Chris regularly stall out at the Ardingly International Antique & Collectors Fair, run by IACF, which is held 7 times a year . Please check the Events Section for upcoming Fairs we will be attending & look out for the Blue Butterfly Bunting to find us.

I hope you find the website interesting & if so, check back regularly for any latest additions. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions or requests, we will always do our best to help.

A little more about me

Having bought a lovely old Victorian house in 2012 that started out being built in 1896 as a grocery store and later changed to an Antique shop, what better place to display old collectables & advertising shop items ! We did think at first of opening it as a shop again, but it really is not big enough for both, but it is my base where I can work from, located on the West Sussex Coast between Worthing & Arundel.

Oh, how I wish I could take a closer peek in the windows!

My other passion in life apart ,from my family, are my rescue pets of which there are more than several & still growing. I volunteer for a local Animal Charity, Paws Animal Sanctuary, Findon,West Sussex Reg.Charity: 1096231 all volunteers are completely unpaid and rely solely on donations to keep going. Both myself & my husband volunteer on Friday mornings, cleaning & feeding & generally loving the unloved.

OUR RESCUE CATS

I am also a Foster Mum to any cats they get that need a little bit more TLC before they can be re homed or an overflow when they are full up which is sadly too often. I usually have a few items for sale on their behalf on our stall at the Antique Fairs we attend that have been donated to them & there is always a collection box for donations for any loose change.

Here are a few of my rescued cats.
